This week it has been Interfaith Week and to celebrate this we had a visitor. Our visitor was a Jewish lady called Anne Angel; this linked to our R.E topic! She told us all about the Torah, synagogues and the Shabbat meal. We even got to try some challah bread! It was a lovely experience and we all enjoyed it. In English, we wrote a recount of Anne's visit. We used all the key features of a recount and even managed to add in some fronted adverbials. Well done everyone.

In Maths, we have been learning about word problems. At the beginning of the week, we revised our Place Value knowledge and once we had remembered it, we used it to answer lots of questions.

During the afternoons, we have been busy learning lots of new things. On Wednesday, we continued with our rotation activities. This meant we had five different activities going on and each group was learning something different. This included: finding out about Medieval daily life; an engineering challenge (to build the best castle wall; a D.T construction activity; designing heraldic crests and finally a sewing activity. On Thursday, we learnt about fossils. Did you know there are four different types of fossils? We had a go at making each type of fossil! Finally, on Friday, we completed another page in our Study Work Books.

Have a lovely weekend,

Miss P
