A wonderful Spring Term in Year 2

Home » News » A wonderful Spring Term in Year 2

We've reached the end of another busy term!

Well done Year 2 you have worked so hard, meeting many new challenges.

You started the week by telling the Easter story in the most wonderful way. You were unable to use the microphones so you had to project your voices which, I'm sure everyone will agree, you did fantastically!

We finished off our topic 'The owl who was afraid of the dark' with a theme day. We began with a game of animal charades, then moved outside to go on a letter hunt. When we had collected all of the letters we had to arrange them into a sentence from the story- dark is exciting! In the afternoon we watched a film, made Easter cards and had a picnic! It seemed a shame to eat some of the gorgeous treats that came in! What amazing imaginations we have!

We've learned about the seasons in geography, animals and life cycles in science, coding in ICT and Neil Armstrong in history as well as having a lovely visit from the animals of Zoo2U, plus many more things. We have produced another beautiful study work book, showcasing our talents!

Thank you, year 2, for a brilliant term.

Have a lovely, relaxing holiday and I look forward to seeing you all after Easter.

Now, I wonder which topic we will be studying next term..........
