Shrove Tuesday - Preschool
Today we celebrated pancake day. We learnt that this marks the start of Lent.
We shared our new story Mr Wolf's Pancakes and got busy with our activities. We created our own frying pan and pancake to flip, designed our favourite toppings and rainbows helped Mr Wolf to count his pennies.
In our free play we enjoyed exploring flour and sugar, creating a recipe book for Mr Wolf, wrote shopping lists, flipped pancakes and played doctors. Outside we made pancake batter. We whisked flour, eggs and milk and squeezed lemons. It was very messy but also lots of fun!
For snack we again enjoyed pancakes. We enjoyed lemon and sugar as our toppings — yum!
