Battle of the Somme

Home » News » Battle of the Somme

For worship this morning we were joined by members of the Wybunbury WW1 group. Mark Potts, author of Where the Fallen Live Forever (Commemorating the men on the WW1 memorials of Crewe and Nantwich), led us through key facts about the Battle of the Somme and in particular to members of the Wybunbury community, including 2 Wybunbury Delves Old Boys.
The Wybunbury WW1 Group presented Year 6 with a copy of Mark's book and the Wybunbury WW1 book — In the shadow of St. Chad's. These really are books to be treasured, a huge thank you to Wybunbury WW1 Group.
It was lovely to see so many of you dressed in your scouting, guiding and cadets uniforms.
